Back by popular request, we are happy to announce our Alden Design Contest #2!

Back in 2006 our first Alden Design Contest lead to the creation of two exclusive Leather Soul models that we still produce today! The first was the Plaza Wingtip Boot by Phil S. and the second was the Plaza Medallion Balmoral, which we now call the “SF Shoe,” by Steve R.

The rules are simple…email us your design for your ultimate Leather Soul Alden shoe or boot. Entries will be judged and finalists will be chosen by the Leather Soul staff. Finalists will be revealed and your votes will choose the winner!

The winner of our Alden Design Contest will receive a pair of the winning shoes or boots on us!

Rules:

Send an email to: contest@lsfootwear.com with the following information:

1) Design
2) Last
3) Leather
4) Welt
5) Sole
6) Eyelets
7) Edgetrim

We will be offering one shoe and one boot. Those with no history with us are allowed ONE entry for either category. Those who have ordered from us previously are allowed THREE entries total for either category.

Restrictions:

1) If you choose to work with shell cordovan, only black and color #8 are available to use (no Whiskey/Ravello/Cigar).
2) The Modified Last is not available.
3) Alden’s design patterns are limited. If you submit a shoe that isn’t available to order, we will notify you by email.

Alden Shoes – Lady Calf Jumper Boots (LSW)

After numerous requests by our customers, we decided to create a calfskin version of our popular Jumper Boots.

Instead of regular dress calf, we chose extra soft and supple lady calf. Coupled with a double oiled leather waterlock sole, these boots will feel like a well broken in pair the first time you wear them.

Our original Jumper Boots are made on the Trubalance last, which not only perfectly matches the look of this vintage inspired pair of boots, but also provides maximum comfort for almost every foot shape.

Another variation of our popular Alden Plain Toe Boots w/Crepe Sole has just arrived, this time in supple tan suede.

We prefer them dirty and beat up with natural indigo stains, but feel free to use a high quality suede protector spray to keep the suede pristine. Either way, these suede PTBoots with soft crepe sole will not only look great, they will be one of the most, if not the most comfortable boots you will ever wear!

Our Plaza Wingtip Boots in shell cordovan have been extremely popular ever since we introduced them back in 2007. Since Horween’s chromexcel has also been such a success for us with our Ultimate Indy, we thought, why not mix together two of our most popular items? The result was our Plaza Wingtip Boots in Chromexcel.

A couple new additions to the makeup include metal eyelets and a double oiled leather waterlock sole.

When we first saw the samples of navy suede last year, we knew it would be a hit. Fast forward 9 months and our first two full navy suede models have arrived.

First up, perfect for the remainder of Summer going into Fall, an unlined plain toe blucher with oiled flex sole. A perfect shoe to wear sockless with shorts or matched with chinos.

Moving from summer to Fall/Winter, we’ve made up a plain toe boot with plantation crepe sole. Both models are on the Barrie last for ultimate comfort.

Edward Green – Cherwell in Taupe Nubuck

Recently, Alden’s unlined tan suede chukka boot, model #1494, has had a major rejuvenation in popularity. Sometimes referred to as a “desert boot,” the unlined chukka is a versatile part of a fashionable man’s wardrobe.

This time around, we’d like to step it up a notch and present Edward Green’s version of the unlined desert boot.

While suede comes from the underside of calf, nubuck is actually from the topside. Considered more refined, durable, and luxurious than suede, nubuck is the perfect choice for this snoody Edward Green version of the classic desert boot.

George Cleverley is widely respected as one of the finest bespoke shoemakers in the world. We are pleased to announce that bespoke fittings will be available at our Cleverley Bespoke Gallery on the second floor of Leather Soul Beverly Hills.

Above is an example of George Cleverley’s bespoke footwear. Russian leather was used in this plain toe derby, making it a historic piece of footwear, not to mention, perfectly fitting, and exactly what the owner desired as far as design.

Bespoke gives you the opportunity to have a shoe made to your exact specifications, both on fit and style. A last specific to your feet are made and used to make an extremely well fitting shoe, made just for your feet.
