Alden Shoes – The Ranger Shoe
We are proud to announce the arrival of one of our more anticipated Leather Soul Exclusive Alden models…the Ranger Shoe.
For our version, we used the pattern from the Indy Shoe for a cleaner look and added a reverse welt and plantation crepe sole. We changed the last to the Van last for it’s boxy, casual nature. Blind eyelets and a handsewn front apron rounds out the details. Horween Leather’s black or burgundy color #8 shell cordovan age beautifully and last a lifetime.
The “ranger moccasin shoe” will always be a New England classic but we hope you like our take on it, the Ranger Shoe.

These are amazing, I hope to see them in chromexcel one day though. I find shell a bit too rich for such a casual shoe.

Another killer shoe Tom! I love the #8 version.
Is the fit like the 986 or is it slightly different?
My feet don’t like the van last much – if I size for heel fit, the forepart is too tight and if I size up then the heel is too big :(

hi, do you ever stock E widths in anything. i would love to have a pair of these, or any alden cordovan really, but can’t wear anything more narrow than 9E.

Not anytime soon. Alden has a prototype for it but it hasn’t been ok’d for makeup production. They will probably release a stock version in their standard lineup first.
