Hi,
I’m wondering how easy it is to have these resoled when the original wears out? I noticed that the commando style rubber sole is stitched to the leather sole, which makes me wonder if they are replaceable by a cobbler or Alden Factory.

Tom,
Will you reserve a pair of 9.5C Ultimate Indy’s for me if you have them? Thanks, Robert Day

Gents,
Do you have a 7D in any of the darker brown indy boots not spoken for? If so what leather options do you have in stock?
Thanks
Stan
Tom said,
on March 14, 2010 @ 11:28 pm
Ik,
I’m sure a good cobbler would be able to replace the rubber commando sole with a comparable rubber top sole when it wears out. You are right, it is essentially a layer of rubber stitched on to a leather sole.

Tom

Sorry, unfortunately we do not normally stock C widths unless special ordered. If you would like to special order a pair please let me know.

Stan,
Please give us a call at (808)922-0777. At the moment we only have the brown cromexcel Ultimate Indy available. I’m not sure about the size since I am actually at the Alden factory now so it would be quicker for you to call the shop directly right now.

Tom

Hi Tom-
How does the trubalance last fit relative to barrie last? Generally, I’m in between 10.5 and 11 with my barrie lasted shoes. What size indy boot would fit (e.g., 11) and do you have any left?
Cheers-
Matt

Is this the boot?

If so, do you have a pair of 9Ds available? Thanks for your time.

Matt,
The Trubalance will fit similarly to the Barrie. Most people take the same size. I am away from Hawaii right now so if you give the shop at call at (808)922-0777 anyone would be happy to check for your size in stock.
Sam,
Yes, that is the boot. Please give us a call at (808)922-0777 to check our current stock.
Terry,
Yes, I will be back by then. Looking forward to seeing you in Waikiki.
Aloha everyone,
Tom

Thanks, Robert

The remaining sizes are 6D and 12D.

I haven’t owned any Aldens in any last so irony know how the sizing works. Depending upon brand I normally can wear anything from a 6.5 to a 7 in dress shoes. My foot measures 9.5″ long(which puts me between a 6.5 and a 7 according to the Internet and my foot is about 3.5 inches wide. Do you think that 6D would fit me? If so I’m interested.
Brad Wheeler said,

Do you have the ultimate indy’s in 13? I am a 13 in Allen Edmonds, though I have never owned a pair of Alden’s so I’m assuming the sizing is similar. I’m a standard width. Many thanks.
Tom said,
on April 8, 2010 @ 8:26 am
Brad,
I have a pair of Ultimate Indys in 12E and a pair of shell cordovan Indys in 13D. Normally we would not have these sizes but they were canceled special orders.
As far as sizing, I’m sorry but I cannot give you a comparison to AE. If you can get fit on a Brannock Device I can offer a sizing recommendation.
Aloha,
Tom
Tom said,
on April 8, 2010 @ 8:28 am
Dustin,
It’s virtually impossible for me to give you a recommendation and we prefer not to even try based on someone else’s measurements. Sizing is based on other factors besides length and width. Sorry I cannot help. I would highly recommend buying your first pair of Aldens in person.
Aloha,
Tom

Thanks,

Tom Hodge said,

I am interested in the Ultimate Indy boot. Do you have a 9C? I have a pari or NST in 9D (not Barrie last) that fits well so I assume I would need a 9C in the Trubalance.
Thanks, Tom
Tom said,

Hi Tom,
I’m quite interested in the Indy boots by Alden. If I purchase a pair, they will be my first Alden boot purchase. I was just wondering, if I am a size 43 (US10)/10D in my other shoes, should I get 9.5D in these?
Also, how much is shipping to Canada?
How long would the wait be until the next shipment?
Thanks!
Tom said,
on May 15, 2010 @ 9:20 pm
Henry,
Thank you for the comment. Most people do size down 1/2 size from their normal US dress shoe size.
Shipping to Canada would be $35. As far as the next shipment, could I ask you to please email Takuya at takuya@lsfootwear.com? I am traveling abroad so I cannot check stock but Takuya can help you.
Aloha,
Tom
