Do you normally wear 8D in Aldens? Which last? Which model?
If you do not have experience in Aldens I highly recommend buying your first pair in person or at the very least getting fit on a Brannock device. With that measurement I can recommend a size.

Most likely a 8.5D if you are a D width on the Brannock. Unfortunately we are sold out at the moment.

Is that 13D still available? I wear a 13D in the Alden 901 on the Hampton last so would a 13D on the Trubalance be right? And is this with the Commando sole?

Yes, we still do have the 13Ds but it would fit larger than your 901s. If you wear thicker socks it would probably fit the same.
