Alden Shoes – The Indy Shoe

Over the years the #405 or “Indy Boot” has cultivated a worldwide popularity. For those of you who prefer shoes over boots, we present to you, the “Indy Shoe.”

The Indy Shoe is built on the same Trubalance last with the same specs as the standard #405 Indy Boot. The heel area has been lined in leather however and the standard flat cotton laces have been replaced with round cotton laces.

Available in sizes 6-12D.

    Hi there,

    I’d like to purchase a pair. Just not sure my correct size in trubalance last. I wear 9.5 b/d alden chukka (leydon last). What equivalent size in this shoe? Let me know.

    Hello Tom,

    i wear size 8C on whites and Redwings, 7UK trickers. Never have a pair of Alden before. What size would fit since they dont have C width for this model. Also, is it only the heel area is leather lined, and the remaining are canvas? I really dont know what to decide between the suede chukkas and the low cut indy. Seem like this is more rare and only market in Japan isnt it?

    Thank you for the comment. I’m sorry, I don’t have much experience with those brands so I can’t give you a sizing recommendation. Yes, only the heel area is leather lined and the remaining area is cotton duck canvas like the original 405.

    Going forward we will be offering this model in different leathers and soles, also fully leather lined. So, if you don’t mind the wait, please join our preorder mailing list and you can order any width available.

    Yes, you would take the same size. We are sold out of 8D right now.

    Ken-San,

    You would take 7.5D as wekk. However we are sold out of 7.5D.

    I think we spoke this morning. The sole is a red neoprene “brick” sole. I would not recommend it in snow.
