Is there any way, when making Alden special orders, you might place orders in C (or even B) width? I believe the Barrie is made in C. The Barrie last, like many American shoes, is a somewhat wide D compared to many Italian/European shoemakers.
While there’s apparently a strong demand in the U.S. for shoes tilting wide, there are narrow-footed American shoe buyers too! I’d love to buy a pair of these in 11 1/2, but I know they’re wide for me (and others). Thoughts?

Yes, we do have 11.5D in stock. Please keep in mind they do run 1/2 size large so these would be perfect if you were a true 12D.

We do have 11D in stock but please make sure your pair is a comparable last. This shoe is on the Barrie last which fits large. If you don’t know which last your shoe is on, please describe it to me or better yet, let me know the model #.

How does Barrie fit relative to Plaza? I am 11D on Plaza last.
I wanted to ask you if it is possible to get some longwings ordered on Plaza last,I am interested in this pair and some 2-3 pairs of cordovan in different colors. I assume Alden can take a special order and make the longwings on Plaza last,double sole. Is that possible?

If you are a 11D on the Plaza you would most likely be a 10.5D on the Barrie.
Yes, I can order you a longwing on the Plaza last but I cannot give you a definite completion date. Alden does not give a guaranteed completion date on single pair special orders. I would be able to order them in #8 burgundy or black shell cordovan, no other colors of shell are available. If you have any other questions please let me know.

I am definitely interested in #8,I already have a pair in black so I will pass on black. I also wanted to get the longwings in Cigar and Whiskey but it doesn’t have to be all at once,I think it will be easier if I start with 1 pair. Would there be a surcharge for a special order?
Also,if the shoes don’t fit,can you exchange to a different size or accept a return?

Yes, there would be a $150 upcharge for the single pair special order. Sorry, we wouldn’t be able to accept a return or size change since these would be special ordered (only 1 pair made) for you. A 50% deposit would be required and this would not be refundable for a single pair special order.
