Leather Soul Beverly Hills

Dear Friends of Leather Soul,

I am extremely pleased to announce that I will be opening a Leather Soul store in Beverly Hills, California!

When I opened my first store back in 2004, I would have never imagined that I would be opening a store on the mainland. I owe it all to you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me throughout the past 5 years.

As things progress I will keep everyone informed as best as I can. As of now, I have secured a wonderful location right in Beverly Hills (next to ample public parking!). I am targeting December or January as an opening date. I am so excited to bring our passion for shoes to Southern California and hope being on the mainland will give us an opportunity to be more accessible to you.

In the meantime, if you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment on this post, email me directly, or give me a call at the shop (808)922-0777.

Mahalo!

Tom

First of all, congratulations! Your store would be a welcome addition to the California high end shoe retail scene.

However: Does this mean you will start charging sales tax for California residence once the BH store is open? That’s a bummer, since 10% on $1700 Lobbs is nothing to sneeze at.

That’s great news, especially given the lack of great men’s shoe shopping and knowledgeable shoe staff in that area. Sounds like I’ll have a new place to visit when I’m done eating at Nate & Al’s and checking out Turnbull.

Thanks James! I’ll have to research California tax laws before I give you an answer. Regardless, hope to meet you in the shop.

Thanks R! Don’t forget to bring me a corned beef sandwich with potato salad from Nate & Al’s!

    Tom,

Congratulations! I’m looking forward to seeing you here in L.A. I was lamenting not being able to join my wife on an upcoming trip to Hawaii, as I would have liked to make my first visit to LeatherSoul. Now at least I’ll have a chance ini my hometown.
Can you hint more about the location? By the way, my wife has a kids’ clothing store on brighton Way in Beverly Hills, so if you need something for you son please stop in.

Wow, great to hear that your wife owns a children’s store on Brighton! I think I know which store it is! I went by many times on the way to Jimmy Au’s. I’ll announce the location as soon as I sign my life away on the dotted line, probably in a week or two.

I’ll definitely stop by the next time I’m in town to pick something up for my son!

    Tom,

You clearly know the area well, as you nailed my wife’store exactly! It’s called Crib, and it is indeed just 1/2 block and across the street from Jimmy Au’s. We look forward to welcoming you to the neighborhood.

Tom – That’s great news and will definitely improve business on the mainland. Time are tough but it appears that high end shoes always have a business. Sadly, your customers will be paying CA sales tax.

Congrats. Unfortunately for us Californians, that means sales tax. Nevertheless, it will be wonderful actually having an opportunity to personally look at some of the great shoes you order.
