John Lobb – Wroxham in Parisian Brown Museum

wr1

A newer model from John Lobb, the Wroxham is a classic straight tip oxford with a slight twist. 4 eyelets and a handsewn detail along the side create an interesting take on this classic shoe.

It’s like a little ledge for your cuffed trousers to sit on…
    Love it.

    Tom,

Any of these left in a US9?

Also, can you please email me on the fit.

    Thanks.

    Tom,

I would like to order these…can you please comment on fit for me? Thank you.

    Jeffrey,

The fit of size 8E would be like a US 9D. I would say similar to Edward Green 8.5/9D 606 Last.

Tom – the Aldens in the 7D (plaza last) fit nicely. Just the right amount of room in the toes. Thanks. Was wondering what size I would be on a John Lobb 8000 and 7000 last and if you had this shoe, the Vail or Chapel in that size?

    Darrell,

I would recommend a 6.5E 8000 and 6E 7000. Unfortunately we are sold out of the Chapel in your size and the Vale has been discontinued. If you would like us to special order you a pair of the Chapels please let me know.

    Aloha,

    Tom

Can you order the Wroxhams too or just the Chapels?

    Thanks

Yes, we could order the Wroxhams if you were interested.

Thanks – I will let you know. I am trying to get my hands on the Beckett shoe from one on the L.A. dealers (which is made on the 7000) last to wear with my Tux. They are supposed to be sending me a 6.5 E and are having a 6 E made to send me (that may take a while). After I get a chance to try those on, I should have a better idea of the fit so you can help me with the proper sizing for the 8000 last. Are both the Chapel and the Wroxham a shoe that will be available to order for a while now or is there a time by which I need to decide? Also, would I be able to order it in the Dark Brown Museum instead if I should choose to go that route?

    Thanks.

    Darrell,

No problem. Yes, we can order the Chapel or the Wroxham for you in dark brown museum. When you’re ready I’ll double check to make sure it’s still available at that time since John Lobb discontinues models periodically.

    Tom

    Tom,

I received my John Lobb Becketts and the size seems to be just right. As I think about the Wroxham and/or the Chapels, I was wondering what my color choices for each style would be. I am thinking that I would not want the Chapel in the Dark Brown Museum since that would look almost the same as the Becketts I have with pants hanging over the shoe. It would be nice if maybe the Chestnut color (or similar color) that you had the vail in was available for the Chapel. As far as the Wroxham, I am leaning toward the Parisian Brown but would like to know what other options there are.

    Thanks,

    Darrell

    Darrell,

Glad you found your size. Please let me know exactly what you would like as your first choice and I will inquire with John Lobb to see if it is available to order as the Wroxham has been discontinued.

    Aloha,

    Tom

I think the Parisian Brown would be my first choice in the Wroxham if it can still be ordered since my Becketts are Dark Brown Museum. I guess I wasn’t sure if you were saying that it could not be ordered and were talking about my first choice of color in the Chapel instead, but I think I would like a pair of the Wroxhams if they can be ordered still before I got a pair of Chapels.

    Thanks

    Darrell

My other choice in the Wroxham would be the Chesnut Museum calf.

    Thanks,

I will check with JL and get back to you. It may take a week or so though since my JL rep is on vacation this week.

Thanks Tom. I’ll let you know. The store that I bought my Becketts from happen to have my size in the Chestnut and on sale since it is a model they no longer carry. I’ll have to see if it’s a color I like.
