The Shell Cordovan V-Tip, available in Burgundy #8 and Black, continues to be our #2 best seller. Over the years we have sold hundreds of pairs, second only to the #1339, Shell Cordovan Chukka Boot.

There’s nothing wrong with #2. For a classic American dress blucher, we feel as though there is nothing better. Built on the Leydon Last, with a Single Leather Sole, the V-Tip, with a cult-like following in Japan, is a classic Alden model that every Alden fan should own!

We have been receiving our second order of Ultimate Indy Boots in small batches and hope to receive everyone’s pair within a few weeks time. Our Ultimate Indy is made on the Tru-Balance Last, in Rich Dark Brown Aniline Calfskin from Horween, with a Leather and Commando Rubber Sole. It is made to Alden New England standards, just as the dress shoes are, which is a higher standard than the regular #405 Indy. You’ll notice full leather linings, higher grade materials, and general quality improvements from the Foot Balance line.

A follow up, or shall we say, Sequel, to our ever popular Ultimate Indys, these Vintage Indys are built with the same upgraded features such as Full Leather Linings, Higher Grade Leather (Vintage Oiled Nubuck), and a Leather and Commando Sole. We also chose an All Around Reverse Welt for a “cleaner” rugged look.

Riding the subways of Tokyo you’ll notice (as well as in any big city around the world) a lot of chunky, square toed, rubber soled shoes worn by businessmen on their way to work. It’s a tragic sight, but one all too familiar for those who appreciate finer footwear.

Those very unattractive shoes were the inspiration for our new Flex Monk Straps. Built on the Plaza Last, with an Oiled Leather Sole (great for rainy days), Alden’s Flex Welt Construction, in a buttery Soft Black Calf, these “Salary Man Shoes” are “everday comfortable” and will take the place of those chunky-monkey shoes in a perfect world.
