Alden Shoes - Flex Chukka Boot
If you haven’t tried the Alden Flex Welt series, you don’t know what you’re missing…

Single leather soles are given a special oil bath which gives the these flex soles special properties. Not only are they much more flexible than standard leather soles, they’re more durable, more comfortable, and are great on slippery or wet surfaces.
Our Leather Soul Exclusive Flex Chukka Boot goes great in any dress casual to casual situation. It also makes a wonderful wet weather beater shoe.
Extremely soft and supple tumbled lady calf adds to the comfort of these must own American classics.
Available in Burgundy and Black.

Tom,
What do you mean by “tumbled lady calf”? Is it a different quality leather than what is used in Alden’s other shoes?

Robin,
Tumbled Lady Calf is a soft, supple calf that Alden uses on its Flex Welt Series. It is very soft and comfortable, but isn’t quite as dressy at the “normal” calf that Alden uses on its standard dress shoes.

Hi Tom,
I really like these chukkas. I’ve never owned a pair of Aldens, but wear a 10 M in AE. Is the sizing similar?
Thanks,
Ryan

Ryan,
Thank you for the comment. The Barrie typically runs 1/2 size larger than true-to-size fitting. Unfortunately I do not know how AEs fit. If you are able to get fitted on a Brannock Device I could give you a recommendation.
Aloha,
Tom
